On Thursday, March 6, 2014, DeSouza Brown hauled over half a ton of glossy paper from Konhaus Marketing in Camp Hill to the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey. Why? Because the Ronald McDonald House recycles these glossy pages with Consolidated Scrap Resources in Lebanon, PA. The Ronald McDonald House is able to receive a rebate from the company – over $233,000 has been raised through this program since 2004. These funds are then used to support the general operations of the House.
Steve and Mike, two proud maintenance technicians from Springford Apartments in Lower Paxton Township, loaded and unloaded 33 boxes of paper in order to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Many thanks to them for giving their time and energy to such a great charity that DeSouza Brown feels so strongly about helping. High five, guys!
The Ronald McDonald House of Hershey offers a temporary home to out-of-town families who have seriously ill children being treated at the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Up to 35 families each night stay at the Ronald McDonald House free of charge, because of the generosity of our wonderful donors.
