Our History

Richmar Builders and DeSouza Brown have been collaborating since 1969, building a legacy as the Harrisburg region’s leading residential community developer.

One of our early major projects was the development of Heatherfield, the area’s first large-scale planned residential community, providing homes to over 2,000 families. A few years later, Richmar built homes for more than 800 families in the DeSouza Brown community of Hershey Meadows, a 240-acre neighborhood with many special amenities and recreation that also now includes the luxury rental communities known as The Reserve and Gardens at Hershey Meadows.

But that’s not nearly all. Richmar Builders and DeSouza Brown have more recently developed and built several more award-winning communities, including Bumble Bee Hollow, in Mechanicsburg, PA, and The New Windy Heights in Dillsburg, PA. Meadow Lane Farms is our newest planned community in Lebanon County, PA, which will continue our long tradition of building high-quality homes for our Central PA neighbors.
